FugleAdvokatene is a volunteer organisation that rescues and rehabilitates urban birds. One of our priorities is to challenge the widespread practice of euthanising injured and sick urban birds without a valid medical reason.
FugleAdvokatene is a non-profit organisation run by dedicated volunteers who rehabilitate birds alongside their full-time jobs. We cannot offer continuous support by phone or email, but we reply as soon as we can in our Facebook help group, “FugleAdvokatenes hjelpegruppe”. If a bird needs help, post there with a photo and relevant information, then wait for our reply.
Meet our volunteers
Jenny
Jenny is a journalist and author who runs an animal sanctuary with her husband. She became a rehabilitation volunteer with no previous experience of birds.
Mai
Mai has been a rehabilitation volunteer since July 2021. It all began with a pigeon that had thread wrapped around its foot.
Madelen
Madelen has volunteered since autumn 2024. With support from experienced mentors, she helps birds recover and return to the wild.
